How to customize pixel art effects
Change a palette, mirror a direction, and export the same settings you preview.
Start from the original
Open an effect and let the preview play. Its original palette is selected by default. Choose a palette preset, edit individual color swatches or mirror the effect horizontally. Reset restores the original settings.
Preview speed and export timing
The playback speed control only changes the preview. Downloads retain the original frame rate and duration shown on the page. Background choices also affect only the preview; exports use transparency.
Download a matching pair
After changing colors, mirror or seed, export the PNG and JSON from the same settings. Customized files use a settings-specific filename, so the JSON points to the matching PNG. Keep both files together.
Code-driven effects
The Code tab shows the import and effect options for the current configuration. Browser games can use the original open-source modules directly. See the developer documentation for the complete rendering loop.
